A factory workshop for the production of small gold bars will be opened in Kyrgyzstan, the Chairman of the National Bank Tolkunbek Abdygulov stated at the meeting of the parliamentary committee on budget and fiscal policy.
According to him, the bank together with Kyrgyzaltyn is working on the opening of the workshop.
“We need it to manufacture small ingots by ourselves. Meanwhile, we buy them from Kazakhstan,” the Chairman of the National Bank explained.
According to him, the bank began to buy Kyrgyz gold.
“We want to increase the amount of gold in the gold and foreign exchange reserves. In 2015 the country’s reserve had 4.2 tons of gold, and in 2017 – 6.9 tons,” he said. (24.kg/Ukrainian metal)
