Russia: coal mining up in April 2018

In April Russia mined 35.32 million tons of coal, up by 5.8% YoY, while exports increased by 0.7%, to 15.34 million tons.

Deliveries to the domestic market grew by 17.5%, to 15.1 million tons.

Imports dropped by 12.7% YoY, to 1.58 million tons.

SUEK mined 9.2 million tons of coal, down by 1.2%, Kuzbassrazrezugol – 3.4 million tons, down by 9.8%, SDS-Ugol – 2.28 million tons, up by 7.1%, Vostsibugol – 1.27 million tons, up by 46.2%, Yuzhniy Kuzbass – 677 thousand tons, up by 2.4%, and Yakutugol – 554.7 thousand tons, down by 25.4%.

Raspadskaya Coal Company at its Novokuznetsk site increased coal mining by 52.7%, to 1.17 million tons, but at the Mezhdurechensk site decreased by 13.4%, to 828 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
