Kyrgyzstan: PM to name politicians behind riots in Toguz-Toro

Some politicians are involved in the riots that occurred in Toguz-Toro district, where the gold processing plant under construction was set on fire, the Prime Minister of the country announced at a meeting of Kyrgyzstan parliamentary faction.

Sapar Isakov said that the Ministry of Internal Affairs asked for time for investigation. But the names of the instigators and those, who were behind the organization of the riots, were already known. The head of government assured that these names would be voiced.

On April 11 residents of Toguz-Toro district of Jalal-Abad region held a rally and set the gold processing plant under construction on fire. About 3,000 people took part in the protest.

“The main requirement of local residents is to close the plant because it is harmful to the environment,” the participants said earlier. (24.kg/Ukrainian metal)
