The Siberian Mining and Metallurgical Alliance has decided to postpone the commissioning of the first stage of Ozernovsky Iron and Steel Works in Kamchatka for a month.

Now the line with the capacity of 100 thousand tons of ore per year (2 tons of gold) will be put into operation in late April.

“It is difficult to start such a complex manufacture in winter. But we are doing everything possible to speed up the process and commission the first line”, SiGMA CEO Dmitry Filichkin said.

As of 2016 the reserves of the Ozernovskoye deposits were 5253.5 thousand tons of ore, 80257 kg of gold and 79.9 tons of silver. (Ukrainian metal)
