In 2017 thanks to the energy efficiency improvement program VIZ-Stal decreased specific power intensity of transformer steel manufacture by 4.3%, to 7.63 Gcal per ton. In the past 5 years this parameter has decreased by 18%.
Implementation of new techniques, replacement of outdated machinery, projects of resources saving and manufacturing processes optimization allowed the company to decrease expenses on buying energy resources by 9.5 million rubles.
VIZ-Stal was also able to decrease electricity consumption by 1130 thousand kW-h (by 0.3%), heating energy – by 1.5 thousand Gcal (by 0.5%) and natural gas – by 77.2 thousand cubic meters (by 0.9%). (Ukrainian metal)
