Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works has replaced gas-purifying equipment of two machines in the oxygen-converter shop.
The repair was carried out at the steel-treating machine and the continuous casting machine.
“The oxygen-converter shop has seen a major reconstruction lately. We have replaced almost all the main machines and stopped using the outdated ones. Now we operate 3 converters and an arc-furnace, as well as 4 continuous casting machines”, the company managing director Anatoly Schetinin said. (Ukrainian metal)
