In 2017 Tajikistan set a new record in gold mining – 5.5 tons, up by 11.2% YoY.
All the metal produced was purchased by the National Bank of Tajikistan. In 2016 the bank bought 4 tons of gold.
This year gold output is expected to grow by 20% YoY, to 6.6 tons.
