There is a conflict growing between militants of the so-called Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, terrorist organizations created and supported by Russia, because of the coal deliveries to Zuyevskaya Thermal Power Plant, which could result in the complete halt of the plant and bring about a power crisis on the Russia-seized territories.
“The warehouses of the TPP now store some 4 thousand tons of coal, while until the end of the heating season around 30 thousand tons are needed. The situation arose because of the considerable debt of LPR to DPR for the electricity, which made it impossible to buy enough coal. Now the plant mixes various grades of coal, which are not intended to be burnt there. Thus, the equipment and machinery are worn sooner, and this could result in the halt of the power plant”, the coordinator of the Information Resistance group and the people’s deputy Dmitry Tymchuk wrote on his Facebook page.
