In 2017 Bozshakol Mining and Processing Works produced 119 thousand ounces of gold, up almost 2-fold YoY.
According to Kaz Minerals, ore output increased by 22%, to 34.6 million tons.
“Processing grew by 112%, from 11.1 million tons to 24.6 million tons of ore. Average copper contents in the processed ore dropped from 0.56% in 2016 to 0.53% in 2017. Copper output at Bozshakol was 101.3 thousand tons, up from 48 thousand tons in 2016”, Kaz Minerals said.
Copper output in 2018 is expected on the level of 100 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
