Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works has concluded an investment contract with Danieli & Officine Meccaniche S.p.A. on the modernization of the 170 two-thread mill in the bar shop.
The price of the contract is 5.5 million euros.
The project is expected to be concluded in 2019.
The project presupposes the modernization of the cooling rolling conveyer with the replacement of existing fans with 16 new ones.
The bar and wire mill was commissioned in 2006. Its capacity is up to 765 thousand tons per year. It is used to produce 5.5-22 mm wire rod and 8-16 mm rebars. (Ukrainian metal)
