Kyrgyzstan: construction of gold recovery plant begins at Jerooy

Construction of a gold recovery plant and a tailing dump began at Jerooy deposit.

According to the head of the State Committee of Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use, Ulan Ryskulov, the development of Jerooy deposit is one of the largest national projects that will have a great impact on the social and economic development of Talas region.

“The project will provide a thousand local residents with jobs and one job in the mining sector will provide with jobs 5 people in related industries, because geologists and miners must be fed, transported and dressed. All this will be provided by Kyrgyz companies. If the people are rich, then the country will be rich,” Ulan Ryskulov said.

The terms of the agreement between the Kyrgyz government and Alliance Altyn Ltd. are tough, so one should follow the schedule.

The main requirement of local residents to investors is compliance with environmental safety. The head of Russkaya Platina Evgeniy Vorobeichik assured that European technology would be used during the construction of the gold recovery plant and tailings.

The company plans to start gold mining in January 2019, and to complete the construction of the recovery plant and tailing dumps by March 2019. (24.kg/Ukrainian metal)
