Ukraine: seventh ship with anthracite from South Africa for DTEK arrives

The seventh bulker with 75,000 tons of anthracite for the needs of thermal power plants (TPPs) of the public joint-stock company DTEK Energy from the South Africa arrived in the Yuzhny seaport (Odessa region), the company’s press service has reported.

The press service said that the unloading of Leda C bulker would start soon. Then coal will be sent to warehouses of Prydniprovska and Kryvy Rih TPPs.

“We have supplied 450,000 tons of anthracite from South Africa to Ukraine, which allows our TPPs to help maintain operations of the power grid. With the arrival of autumn and winter their role has only increased. DTEK will continue rhythmically cover the needs of TPPs in imported coal so that the power grid operates stably, and consumers are confident of stable power supply,” DTEK Commercial Director Vitaliy Butenko said.
