Rosterminalugol JSC, the largest dedicated coal port in the Baltic region, a part of Russia’s largest coal port holding Port Management Company LLC, says it has exported 19 million tons of coal this year.
The milestone ton was loaded on October 12 onto the Post-Panamax bulk carrier, Spring Wealth, the 266th vessel handled from the year beginning (the 10th in October). The ship loaded with 84,800 tons of coal is bound for Brazil.
According to the statement, year-to-date coal exports from the terminal exceeded the volumes exported during the entire year of 2016. In the 9-month period of 2017, the company handled 18.2 million tons of coal, 100,000 tons more than in January-December 2016. (PortNews/Ukrainian metal)
