The deputy economic minister Sergey Nazarov has confirmed that the so-called Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics sell coal to Russia, and it in its turn reexports it to other countries.
According to Nazarov, each month some 1 million tons of coal from the occupied Donbass are sold that way.
Thus Russia helps DPR and LPR solve their social infrastructure, budget and pension problems. (Ukrainian metal)
