The fifth bulk carrier with 75,000 tons of anthracite from South Africa for Prydniprovska and Kriviy Rih thermal power plants (TPP) of DTEK Energy has arrived in Ukraine, the company’s press service has said.
According to its data, two bulk carriers with imported anthracite are being unloaded at the port, which will allow the company’s TPPs to accumulate resources for stable operation during the heating season.
The process of unloading the Min Sheng 1 ship will take approximately three days. At the same time, the Semiramis bulk carrier with 80,000 tons of anthracite, which arrived in Yuzhny port on September 17, had already been 85% unloaded.
“In October we expect the arrival in Ukraine of an additional 150,000 tons of South African coal to create necessary stocks in the warehouses of our TPP on the eve of the heating season,” DTEK Energy Commercial Director Vitaliy Butenko said. (Interfax-Ukraine/Ukrainian metal)
