Korshunovsky quarry of the Korshunovsky Mining and Processing Works has mined the 500-millionth ton of ore.
The anniversary ton of ore will be processed and supplied to Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works.
The first ton of ore from Korshunovsky quarry was shipped in December 1964, 3 months before the enterprise was officially created. The first 100 million tons were produced in 10 years. In 2016 the quarry yielded 4.1 million tons of ore. (Ukrainian metal)
