Evraz ZSMK has put into operation the new rewinding machine.
The Italian mill rewinds large 1-2.5 tons coils into smaller one of 100-150 kg. Such coils are easier to transport and unload, and their unwinding does not require additional equipment.
The new mill is an important stage of a major capacity developing project. In 2013 the company put into operation 3 coiling machines and a packing machine, while in 2015 – a new drawing machine, which increased wire output by 22 thousand tons per year.
At present Evraz ZSMK produces over 200 types of wire with the total volume of 210 thousand tons per year. (Ukrainian metal)
