In January-July DTEK Energo produced 13.4 million tons of gas coal, up by 15.6% YoY.
According to the company statement, at present thermal power plants using gas coal operate at the maximum loading. They produce more electricity, increasing fuel consumption.
To satisfy the gas coal demand DTEK Energy in 2017 increased investments in mining 1.5-fold, to 4.2 billion UAH.
This year the company intends to increase coal output by 9% YoY, to 23 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
