Rusal has stopped supplying aluminum to the largest manufacturer of cast wheel disks in Russia – Kik LLC.
According to the K&K Group of Companies CEO Sergey Kuklin, having purchased the Skad LLC, Rusal got an opportunity to enter the car disk market, the world volume of which is estimated at 300 million pieces a year. Rusal bought 66% of Skad in April.
Deliveries stopped several days ago. To continue operation the works might be forced to import aluminum.
Last year Kik produced some 3 million wheels, using around 20 thousand tons of aluminum. K&K occupies 80% of the Russian cast car disks market. (Ukrainian metal)
