In January-May Russia supplied 4.25 million tons of coal to Ukraine, and the total supplies this year are expected on the level of 10 million tons.
Last year Russia supplied 10.11 million tons of coal to Ukraine, according to the Russian Ministry of energy.
The Ministry of energy and coal industry of Ukraine has asked the Cabinet of ministers to prohibit the purchases of Russian power-generating coal. Ukraine is also negotiating coal supplies from USA. (Ukrainian metal)
