In 14 months there will be no profitless mines in Ukraine.
According to the minister of energy and coal industry Igor Nasalik, by the end of 2017, 70% of mines will be lossless, and 50% – profitable.
“The mines will also start paying for electricity, for which they haven’t paid for 2 years. They will also be able to increase salary”, he said. “The plan of coal industry development presupposes coal output of 8.7 million tons by the end of 2018. And I can assure anyone that in 14 months we will have no profitless mines”. (Ukrainian metal)
