DTEK energy holding is planning to refrain from the consumption of anthracite coal and transfer its TTPs to gas coal, DTEK Director General Maksym Tymchenko said.
Tymchenko noted that during his last meeting with the DTEK owner Rinat Akhmetov, the issue on the increase of gas coal production was discussed.
“DTEK is transferring to gas coal. Next week we are starting a project on transferring two 150 MW units at the Prydniprovska TPP to gas coal. This project is ready and we will transfer these two units by the heating season,” Tymchenko said.
As of April 18, five out of six Ukrainian TTPs operating on gas coal stopped operating. (Ukrinform/Ukrainian metal)
