Boguchansky Aluminum Works, a joint venture of Rusal and RusHydro, could double its capacities to 300 thousand tons per year in 2018.
At the same time it is still uncertain whether RusHydro will participate in the construction of the second stage of BoAZ (to 600 thousand tons), nor in another Rusal project – Taishet Aluminum Works.
The second stage of BoAZ will be constructed in early 2018, and its aluminum capacity will increase to 300 thousand tons.
The capacity of the first stage is 147 thousand tons per year.
In 2016 Rusal sold 3.8 million tons of aluminum. (Ukrainian metal)
