In January-March Kazakhstan mined 5.3 thousand tons of uranium.
“This is down by 13% YoY, and is 24% of the annual target”, the energy minister Kanat Bozumbayev declared.
In January Kazatomprom announced the decrease in 2017 uranium output by 10%.
“The decrease will exceed 2 thousand tons of uranium of the planned target for 2017. That’s some 3% of the world output”, the company said. (Ukrainian metal)
