Almalyk Mining and Processing Works has embarked on the most ambitious investment project of the Program of measures on structural reforms, modernization and diversification of production for 2015-2019 at JSC “Almalyk MMC” – “Development of “Dalnee” deposit”.
On March 1, President Shavkat Mirziyoev signed a Resolution “On measures on expansion of production facilities of JSC “Almalyk MMC” on the basis of “Dalnee” deposit.
The project aims at ensuring the further balanced development, maintenance and expansion of production capacities of JSC “Almalyk MMC”, strengthening the raw material base of the plant through the development of copper-molybdenum ore deposits. It is also planned to build a new mining and metallurgical complex with the use of modern technologies and equipment corresponding to international standards, the requirements on energy efficiency and environmental standards.
The two-stage implementation of the project is set to start this year and be completed by 2028. (UzReport/Ukrainian metal)
