Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works has shut down its last blast furnace.
“Because of the blockade the works shut down its last blast furnace. DMK used to get coke from Alchevsk Coke and Chemical Plant. Now the deliveries are impossible”, the people’s deputy from the opposition Alexander Vilkul wrote on his Facebook page.
He also informed that the state owed DMK some 1 billion UAH of VAT, and the company had no money to import raw materials.
“Moreover, because of the blockade the Russian coke went up in price 3-fold, and it has to be purchased for foreign currency”, Vilkul added. (Ukrainian metal)
