The authorities of the Primorsky region decided to give 250 million rubles to resume operation of the Lermontovsky Mining and Processing Works, but the order of the subsidies provision has not been settled yet.
“The draft document has been developed, but not adopted. It contains some impossible conditions. For example, it states that the companies that have debts to various budgets cannot get the subsidies”, the Primorsky region committee of the Mining and Metallurgical Union of Russia chairman Valery Onisenkov said.
Lermontovsky GOK has debts, and its economic situation was known to those who developed the draft document.
The committee addressed regional governor Vladimir Miklushevsky asking him to rework the document, making the subsidies to the GOK obtainable.
Because of the works being idle employees receive only two thirds of their salary. But so far even this amount hasn’t been paid in full for February. (Ukrainian metal)
