In the nearest future three options to provide Ukrainian power-generating companies with A-grade coal would be evaluated, the Vice Prime Minister Vladimir Kistion announced.
“According to our forecasts, we have enough anthracite for 40-50 days. And in this period we have to study the matter of anthracite imports”, he said. “The Ministry of energy and coal industry has to calculate all the three options of events: finishing the emergency measures in April, in September or by year-end. Three options to buy anthracite abroad will be suggested, taking into account coal imports influence on electricity price”.
At present the main goal is to decrease A-grade coal consumption as much as possible, as its delivery was stopped because of the railroad blockade. (Ukrainian metal)
