Donetskstal group metal companies on the occupied territory of Ukraine work at lowest capacities because of the railroad blockade.
Donetsk Iron and Steel Works has been registered on Ukraine-controlled territory. It still operates 1 blast furnace. On February 20, it produced 1.5 thousand tons of pig iron. The company has enough iron ore raw materials to last till March (at the current output level), after that it could be shutdown.
Yasinovsky and Makeevka Coke and Chemical Plants are also on the brink of being shut down.
Yasinovsky Coke produced 1.3 thousand tons of coke, while Makeevkoks – 800 tons. (Ukrainian metal)
