In November 2016 Russia imported 23.5 thousand tons of corrosion-resistant flat rolled products valued at $45 million, down by 3.7% and by 8% MoM respectively, but up by 45% and by 28% YoY.

600 mm and more wide sheet accounts for around 90% of imports, with nickel content in steel not exceeding 2.5%.

China supplies some 29% of metal, with November 2016 average price at $1614 per ton. Taiwan (24%) sells metal at $1637 per ton, while the South African Republic (12%) – at $2089 per ton.

The main consumers of this metal are Moscow (46%), Samara (12%) and Sverdlov (9%) regions. (Ukrainian metal)
