The first deputy Prime Minister Askar Mamin suggests increasing coal exports to China.
“China has increased its coal imports to 200 million tons. We have to see if we can increase our exports there. This is a large market. We have to see if we can supply from bordering regions”, he said.
The prime minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted the need to study the matter in detail.
“I have information, that Chinese government decided to decrease coal output by 500 million tons by 2020. So they say they are decreasing coal output. Thus we have to find out territory-wise, where they decrease output and from where they import”, he said. (Ukrainian metal)
