Russia: Koks output up in January-September 2016

In January-September Koks, a part of Industrial-Metallurgical Complex, produced 2.12 million tons of bulk coke, up by 3%.

During the whole year the company coking batteries have been 100% loaded, IMC strategy and communications vice-president Sergey Frolov said.

Coking coal output at IMC mines decreased by 7% YoY, to 1.45 million tons, due to repair works at Butovskaya mine in Q2.

Coal concentrate output at Berezovskaya Central Processing Factory went up by 21%, to 1.96 million tons, because of the modernization.

“Next year we will continue upgrading the capacities, bringing them to 4 million tons of coking coal concentrate per year”, Frolov noted. (Ukrainian metal)
