This year MMK plans to increase sales by 245 thousand tons YoY, to 11257 thousand tons. The local market will receive 7144 thousand tons, with 3136 thousand tons to be exported.
Hot-rolled flats sales will drop to 3048 thousand tons due to the decrease in demand on behalf of pipe manufacturers; cold-rolled metal sales will decrease to 936 thousand tons because of the bad situation in the Russian car industry.
On the other hand MMK was able to increase coated metal sales (galvanized rolled metal – to 1012 thousand tons, with polymeric coating – to 325 thousand tons). Next year MMK will put into operation a new machine of continuous hot-galvanizing with the capacity of 450 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
