Novolipetsk Iron and Steel Works plans to increase sales of rolled metal for construction in 2016 by 20% YoY.
“The increase will be reached due to opening new markets”, finance vice-president and section director Grigory Fedorishin said.
“In 2015 demand for rolled metal for construction dropped by 17%, and this year we have lost 10-15% more. So, in just 2 years some 30% of the market simply disappeared, and that means a sudden surplus of offer and the pressure on prices. Bring back the demand, and the problem will be solved. In the meantime, to keep high capacity we have to export”, he added. (Ukrainian metal)
