In January-June rolled metal deliveries to the local market went up by 34.8% YoY, to 1.93 million tons. Together with pipes delivery volumes totaled 2.15 million tons.
In 2016 imports grew as well – by 58% YoY, to 0.31 million tons. Imports share went up from 13.9% in H1 2015 to 16.3% in H1 2016.
Experts note the increase in the supply of beams (by 90.8% YoY), angles (21.4%), channel (36%), hot-rolled steel (52.6%), galvanized steel (56.5%), cold-rolled steel (42.5%), wire rod (18.2%) and rebars (32.1%). (Ukrainian metal)
