The sole primary aluminum producer in Ukraine – Zaporozhye Aluminum Works – plans to renew manufacture of aluminum wire rod in August.
“The works is taking all the necessary actions to start producing aluminum wire rod”, said the company in its statement.
During its halt the company has lost its leading positions on the European market, but intends to return them.
In 2015 ZALK received 2043.75 million UAH of losses. (Ukrainian metal)
