Zaporizhstal plans to increase financing of environment projects and invest over 1.5 billion UAH in decreasing pollution.
“In a month we will finish construction of the gas-purifying machine No 5, in three months – No 6, until the year end – exsufflation of blast furnace No 2, and in the first half year of 2017 – the complete reconstruction of blast furnace No 3. That’s over 1.5 billion UAH of investments”, said the company CEO Rostislav Shurma.
“For the past three years we have constructed new gas-purifiers on sintering machines No 1-4, a new blast furnace No 4, a new etching line. That’s more than 4 billion UAH of investments into ecology. And we still have much to do”, he added. (Ukrainian metal)
