DTEK plans to sell its Obukhovskaya Mine Group and Donskoy Antrazit (Russia).

“To improve our financial stability we want to sell some of our Russian assets in exchange for the decrease of our debt by $436 million. We’re currently negotiating this with the interested parties”, said the company CEO Maxim Tkachenko.

According to him, in 2016 DTEK could mine 2.6 million tons of coal in Russia, selling 60% locally and exporting the rest to Europe. (Ukrainian metal)
