Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works decided to give some of its social and industrial assets to the municipal ownership.
“The works will be financing these assets till next year. And we will found a new municipal enterprise to be responsible for squares and parks”, said the Mariupol mayor Vadim Boichenko.
One of the assets – the Extreme-park – will in time be a part the renovated park zone. And together with the asphalt works Ilyich is giving away its machinery. Thus the city will be able to repair the roads on its own.
Mariupol will also receive the stable yard. (Ukrainian Metal)
