In early February Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works named after Dzerzhinsky started putting its blast furnace #12 into operation.
Last year the furnace underwent an overhaul – it was stopped on November 11, 2015, and was planned to be put into operation on January 12, but the works failed to do this due to the lack of financing.
“The blast furnace has started yielding pig iron, but it hasn’t reached its project capacity yet”, said the company in its statement. (Ukrainian metal)
