In January Avdiivka Coke and Chemical Works produced 238 thousand tons of 6% moisture coke, up by 90% YoY, but down by 1.7% MoM.
According to the company statement, YoY increase was due to the low comparison base, as in January 2015 it produced only 125 thousand tons of coke. The works has also been under constant shelling. Because of the destroyed infrastructure it worked with 25% capacity in January 2015 and didn’t supply coke to Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works and Azovstal.
In December 2015 Avdiivka produced 242 thousand tons of coke.
Coke output in 2015 decreased by 16% YoY, to 2.29 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
