Verkhovnaya Rada will review the decree of changes into some Ukrainian laws as to the decrease of ferrous scrap deficiency on the local market in order to meet defense industry demands and restore infrastructure.
Ukrainian metal companies are in desperate need of scrap. In particular, in 2015 Interpipe Steel was idle for 63 days because of the scrap shortages. The main reason for this is the export. Last year Ukraine exported 1.21 million tons of ferrous scrap. (Ukrainian metal)
