In 2015 Mariupol Iron and Steel Works and Azovstal were able to save over 140 million UAH.
“The companies use the manufacturing process improvement system. Last year Ilyich and Azovstal workers submitted twice the number of ideas compared with 2014 – over 47 thousand”, said both works owner Metinvest in its statement.
Ilyich specialists were able to decrease the prime cost of 1 ton of products by 300 UAH, which allowed the company to save 31.2 million UAH last year.
In 2015 both works paid some 2.3 million UAH to the authors of the inventions. (Ukrainian metal)
