The institute of mining and chemical industry has started designing 3 production sections for the Zaporozhye Titanium and Magnesium Works, a part of Group DF.
According to the company statement, the parties have concluded an agreement to conduct design and survey works in 2015 worth 33 million UAH as to the reconstruction of the spongy titanium production area, magnesium electrolysis production area reconstruction and spongy titanium shop blocks knockout area reconstruction.
“Designing has started. We are interested in the timely completion of the works, as our position on the world aerospace titanium market depends on it”, said ZTMK director Vladimir Spivak.
Design works are a part of the project to reconstruct the company main productive capacities. The modernization program presupposes spongy titanium capacity increase to 20 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
