The Higher Administrative Court of Ukraine has allowed developing the Kremenchug territory, thus removing all obstacles on the way to build Bilanovsky Mining and Processing Works.

According to the company CEO Yuri Khomich, the court waved all claims as to the harm the construction could make to the territory environment and the health of the local residents.

Poltava region has collected some 20 thousand signatures against the construction of the works. But the information about the environmental threat was not confirmed.

According to Ferrexpo, owner of the works, it will create over 2 thousand jobs and pay some 18 billion UAH of taxes.

The new works is scheduled to be put into operation in 2020. (Ukrainian metal)
