Soon ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih employees will file a suit against massive firings in the repair shop.
On December 17, the Kriviy Rih labor organization Labor Freedom will submit its demands to the management.
“When they came to the works, there were almost 45 thousand employees. Now out of 27 thousand they want to fire 10 thousand more. At the same time France AM companies not only don’t fire people, but even increase their wages. I believe, at the expense of Ukrainian employees”, said the organization director Nikolai Stadnichenko.
According to a mechanical-repair shop brigade-leader Irina Gulyaeva, on November 3, the works received a decree to dismiss 10 thousand plasterers and bricklayers by 2017.
“We don’t know what to do. We have addressed the President, the Prime-Minister and the mayor of our city. But none wants to help us. They all say we have an influential owner and we have to submit”, she said. (Ukrainian metal)
