“To fully supply our thermal power stations we are actively seeking suppliers from the South African Republic. Two ships are now carrying coal to us. 168 thousand tons for Centreenrgo and 80 thousand tons for thermal stations. The first vessel with coal should arrive on December 4, the second – on December, 12. So in December we will have some additional 250 thousand tons of anthracite coals”, said the minister for energy and coal industry Vladimir Demchysin.
According to his words, Ukraine now stocks over 1 million tons of coal, which should be enough for 45-50 days. And the ministry was still seeking for new coal suppliers.
As to the atomic fuel, needed for atomic power stations, he said there was enough until September 2016. (Ukrainian metal)
