Canada has supplied $30.5 million worth of coking coal to Ukraine, up by 123% YoY.
The main buyers of this coke were Azovstal Iron and Steel Works and ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih.
“Within the program of diversifying coke supplies and decreasing dependency on the Russian raw materials, Ukrainian metal companies are increasing coking coal purchases abroad. The current world prices and shipping make deliveries from Canada, USA and Australia competitive”, said Derzhzovnishinform expert Alexander Slavinsky. (Ukrainian metal)
