In January-October Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works produced 2.02 million tons of rolled metal, down by 28.2% YoY.
According to the company statement, its steel output decreased by 26.9%, to 2.3 million tons, while that of pig iron fell by 18.2%, to 3.02 million tons, all YoY.
In October the works produced 229 thousand tons of rolled metal, 245 thousand tons of steel and 355 thousand tons of pig iron, as opposed to 229, 237 and 327 thousand tons in September respectively.
In 2014 Ilyich produced 3.15 million tons of rolled metal, 3.54 million tons of steel and 4.21 million tons of pig iron, all down by 24.8%, 32.4% and 16.7% YoY respectively.
This decrease was caused by the problems with delivery of raw materials and coke due to the destroyed infrastructure in the ATO zone. (Ukrainian metal)
