Employees of the Avdiivka Coke and Chemical Works, a part of the Metinvest Group, after all the dangers and constant shelling don’t view money as the main goal of their work.
“As the motivation, money is not on the first place. They never asked to raise their salary during the antiterrorist operation”, said the company CEO Musa Magomedov.
All the efforts were concentrated on keeping the works operating.
“Our main goal was to keep the works, the town and the people. The death of the works means the death of the town, while the death of the town means the death of the works. We happened to be on the frontline: terrorist shelling the Ukrainian troops, and they in their turn firing at the terrorists. All the misses hit us”, said Magomedov.
During the year the works territory was directly hit 292 times. 9 people were killed. (Ukrainian metal)
